About Sierra Gold Chapter of CCOF
The Sierra Gold Chapter of CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers) is one of 15 geographical based chapters that make up the trade association portion of CCOF. The Sierra Gold Chapter represents Amador, Alpine, Calaveras, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, & Tuolumne counties. Sierra Gold has over forty members who produce a wide variety of organic products including; apples, berries, kiwi, mandarins, peaches, pears, plums, rice, wild rice, table grapes, wine grapes, and vegetable crops.
Our growers market their produce in many different ways, including farm stands, farmer’s markets, CSA baskets, internet sales, and wholesale. What they all have in common, besides location, is their dedication to organic farming methods.
The members of Sierra Gold have all certified organic with CCOF because of CCOF’s dedication to maintaining organic integrity for over thirty years.
